Fear Not!

Luke 2:8-11 KJV – 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

At Christmas we think of joy and love. We celebrate it with gifts and consideration of one another. This year that is not going to always be the sentiments in the hearts of men and women.

Many because of the pandemic and the uncertainty of times in our nation will have hearts filled with fear. The coming of the angel of the Lord to shepherds gives us a message that we all need to hear.

The words of the angel “Fear Not” is said by scripture to be a word for all people. It is a word that we need to hear as individuals and as a nation.

The promise of Jesus as our Savior puts a joy and a hope in our hearts even in dismal circumstances. The things happening in our country make this Christmas a troubled time. But God has provided us deliverance. He sent His only son to be our Savior!

The promise of the Angel of the Lord will come into your heart if you will ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior. Good tidings of great joy will replace the fear about our current circumstances. We do not know what tomorrow holds but God sees it all. He can bring peace into your heart even when there seems to be no hope.

Let your Christmas be filled the with good tidings of the message of the angel:

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

God wants to fill your heart with the promise of Jesus! Invite Him to be your Savior.

Keep Looking Up!

Dan
