Not Seen The Righteous Forsaken…

Psalms 37:25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

I am not sure that I am ready to concede that I am old but I know that I am no longer young! I have been young and many years have passed so I am getting older! As I look back over the years, the experiences of my life have had the usual highs and lows. However, I can bear testimony of the words of the Psalmist, "I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread."

I have never been what I would consider wealthy but the provision of God has always been sufficient. When needs and many times even the desires of my heart have been before me, God has shown the truth that "my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:9) The goodness and the kindness of God never ceases to amaze me.

We  all face a world of unknown circumstances. Sometimes we have joy and blessing. Other times there is crisis and trials. In all of life's experiences we can depend on the provision of God. He is always there. Even in our darkest hours we can lean on Him. We can know that He is with us and will even carry us if necessary. If things are looking bleak, remember the scripture in Genesis 22:14 "And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh. As it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided."

It could not have looked worse for Abraham as he took Isaac to the mountain to sacrifice him according to the command of God. Yet Abraham's faith and obedience did not fail him. He depended on the provision of God. He knew the Lord would provide a lamb.

It is the same for you and me. God will provide! What is your need today? Go to the  mount of Jehovah and lean on the one Who  provides. ..In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided."

Keep Looking Up,
