Peace For A Troubled Time

Jhn 14:25-27 KJV – 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being [yet] present with you.

26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Our verses for today confirm that our God will give us a peace that is not found in our world. It is only found as His Holy Spirit gives it to us who believe.

Let me encourage you that the unrest of our nation should not rob you of the peace that God wants to be in your heart. The peace God gives is not subject to the confusions and confrontations we see. It is only limited by our lack of closeness to our God.

Lean on the promises of God and let him give you that peace and comfort. Listen to the words of the book of James.

Jas 4:8-10 KJV – 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Whatever comes in the days ahead we can have peace as followers of Jesus Christ. He will draw close to us. We just need to draw close to Him.

Keep Looking Up!
