Safety In Him!

Matthew 10:28, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell".

We have those who have chosen by profession to protect our society and we highly respect them. They often put themselves in danger to protect others from violence and crime. However, we not only need protection from criminals who would do us harm, we also need protection for our spiritual lives. The scriptures tell us in Matthew 10:28, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell".  We hold earthly  life as very precious. Yet God is more concerned about our soul and where it will be in eternity. Life on earth is only for a season and always seems way to short. Our soul lives for eternity. The most important question of life is, "where will we spend eternity?".  The Bible is very direct that there are only two places the soul goes after death. It is either heaven or hell.

We must choose one or the other. To elect to not choose is to sentence our soul to an eternity without God. The Bible calls that hell. To choose to make Jesus Christ your saviour is to choose heaven. He is the one and only Lord and Saviour.  Act 4:12  "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

God does not appoint us to heaven or hell. He lets us choose!  You are the one who will decide where your soul will spend eternity. You can join with us who have dedicated our lives to Jesus and accepted the salvation he provides, or you can reject the price he paid for you on Calvary.  Acceptance is to choose heaven.  Rejection of His love is to choose hell. It is your choice. God made a decision to let you decide.

While you are still breathing, you can make the choice to serve Jesus. After death there is no choice, because you have rejected God's provision the destination is hell. I pray that you will make the choice to serve God  through Jesus while you can.  There really is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.  Make the decision to serve Jesus today!

Keep Looking Up,

Dan
