In Whom Do You Trust?

Psalm 20: 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

In Whom do you trust? It is the foundation of our security. If the one's in whom we put our trust are not reliable, we do not feel secure. In contrast if the one's in whom we put our trust keep their promises, our foundations feel secure.  I can remember having security as a child because I could depend on my parents. They were truthful and I knew they loved me. As a result when I was in crisis I knew they would be there for me. As time has passed both Mom and  Dad have passed on to be with the Lord. They can no longer be my security. Such are the people and things of this earth. To really be secure we cannot trust in those things that are temporary.

You cannot put your trust in me because I will not always be here. One day like my Mom and Dad, I will also hear the voice of heaven calling and I will be gone.  That is the problem with people in our world. They put their trust in other people, in bank accounts, retirement funds and many other things that can pass away in a moments time.

The Psalmist knew better. He would not put his trust in chariots or horses. He knew that they could fail. Instead he put his trust in the name of the Lord. He knew that God would always be there.Though all else may pass away, God will never pass away. We can believe His word for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(Hebrews 13:8)

Do you feel secure today? In whom do you put your trust? If your trust is not in the Lord, your foundation is not secure. Whereever you are placing your trust could fail.  There is only one true God. You and I must put our trust in Him. He is the only one who can save us for now and for eternity.

Listen to the Psalm writer and put your trust in God! He never fails.

Keep Looking Up,
