Is There Really A Path In the Darkness?

Is there really a path in the darkness?  In the past several months, several of our close friends have died from a combination of age and illness. Death is certainly considered one of the darkest times we face.

The loss of friends or relatives brings an emptiness place into our lives that we cannot refill.  And yet the darkness that accompanies death does not have to overwhelm us.

Death does not have to be a step into the unknown. Nor is death the end of all things that have to do with life.  I would encourage you to explore the teachings of Jesus Christ if you have not already done so. It is Jesus himself who declares that he died on a cross so that you and I could be free of the fear of death.

The acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, removes the darkness surrounding death.  Death in the light of Christ’s sacrifice becomes just a step out of the limitations of this earthly life.  It is the beginning of eternal life in presence of the God who created us.

There really is a path in the darkness created by this most ominous happening in our existence.  Reach out to God through faith in Jesus Christ and leave the fear of death behind.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
