The Love Of God…

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

My thoughts today are on the many in our world that are hurting and have suffered loss because of the recent attacks of terror in our world. It seems hardly a day goes by that there is not news of attacks by hateful vengeance filled terrorists. In more recent days the attacks have been where there are parents present with their children. It makes the attacks seem even more horrendous.

It is such a contrast to the teachings of Jesus and the practice of the true Christian. At the heart of the gospel is the love of our fellow human beings. Those of us who are believers are told to love even our enemies. We are to love others as God loves us and gave His Son for us.  That is the declaration of our verse for today. God gave His Son Jesus so that we could be forgiven for our sins and be set free from the bondages of life.

If you are feeling unloved today, remember that God loves you with an unconditional love. No matter what your life is like at the moment, He still loves you. Jesus died for you and wants you to make Him the Lord of your life. There is nothing like inviting Christ into your heart to forgive your sins and to feel His love.

If you have not done it, do it now. If you have already invited Jesus into your heart, think of how much He loves you and the price he paid for your salvation.

Keep Looking Up!
